The Jupiter's Townsville Cup Race Day held on Saturday 25th July was the highlight of the Townsville Turf Club's 2009 Winter Racing Carnival.
With a crowd of over 12,000 people, the carnival atmosphere was electric and the beautiful weather and fabulous horse racing was enjoyed by all. The newly instigated drink ticketing system was also successful despite some early line ups for tickets people found service at bars was super quick which overall pleased the punters.
The Townsville Eye Fashions on the Field competition was strongly contested with 197 entrants all dressed to impress the judges trying to win the highly sort after titles of best dressed and the excellent prizes on offer.

Surveys have been emailed to guests of the Garden Marquee and Garden Party for feedback about this year's marquee events. All responses will be considered to assist with evaluation and future planning. This year the Townsville Turf Club engaged the services of external event managers to plan and manage these marquees and so is keen to hear guest feedback.
