Local Lady set to represent The Sport of Kings as the Face of Racing Carnival
A local face will grace the North Queensland Winter Racing Carnival branding this year, with the Townsville Turf Club announcing up and coming talent Kiara Cooper as the 2018 ambassador.
CEO Cassandra Cazzulino said Kiara was an outstanding local well-known in fashion, modelling and social circles, and that the Townsville Turf Club was excited to have her represent the Winter Racing Carnival this year.
“Born and raised in Townsville, you may recognise Kiara from leading the way on the catwalk at the Townsville Fashion Festival or showcasing contemporary fashion as the face of local boutique Jaxx,” Cassandra said.
“Kiara’s fresh energy is a wonderful asset to this year’s Winter Racing Carnival.”
Kicking off with a brand-new Winter Racing Carnival Launch presented by The Ville Resort-Casino on Friday the 20th of July, the fresh 8-day Racing Carnival format promises something for absolutely everyone.
“New Ladies Race Day partner Townsville Jaguar Land Rover is set to add a sleek and sophisticated dimension to the already enticing offering”, Cassandra said.
“Guests can expect something really special in the Ladies Day Marquee on the Townsville Jaguar Land Rover Ladies Race Day and we can’t wait for our racegoers to join in all the fun.”
“Last year’s Fashion Precinct was so successful it will be back again with even more energy, thanks to Stockland Townsville who have come onboard as the Fashions on the Field partner.”
“It will now feature across both Ladies Day and Townsville Cup, and local Fashions on the Field competitors will not want to miss out on the soon to be released prizes.”
The biggest day of the Carnival, The Mater Townsville Cup, will host the two major races of the year - the Lazy Yak Cleveland Bay Classic and The Mater Townsville Cup, with the winning connections set to walk away over $200,000.00 richer.
Carnival preparations are well underway, with the marquee precinct and new event spaces set to roll out with an abundance of quality food, savvy bar offerings and fun.
Entertainment lovers will be the big winner with both Saturday racedays featuring plenty of live music after the races and in the trackside ticketed spaces throughout the day.
Punters will still be at the forefront over Carnival, with each designated area featuring Bookmakers and totes, and even a big screen in the park on The Mater Townsville Cup.
Those wishing to purchase tickets to the Winter Racing Carnival, running from the 20th July through to the 28th of July, are encouraged to follow the Townsville Turf Club Facebook Page and website www.townsvilleturfclub.com.au for ticket information. Tickets go on sale 1st June 2018.
