Friday, 25 May 2018

Townsville Turf Club will advertise nationally for a new CEO following the decision by current CEO Cassandra Cazzulino to resign.

Mrs Cazzulino will continue to contribute to the success of the club and the up and coming Winter Racing Carnival which is approaching as the most successful ever with increased support from sponsors and patrons.

TTC President Malcolm Petrofski thanked the CEO for her efforts during what has been a transformational period in the club’s history.

“Cassandra has helped lift the profile of the Townsville Turf Club with all stakeholders in the region, particularly with sponsor engagement and marketing. We wish her the best with her next challenge and we are grateful that she is staying on into August to assist with the Carnival and to help with the induction of the new CEO.

“The club thanks Cassandra for providing an extensive window of time to find someone to lead the Club into the future. We won’t delay the recruitment process and will start the search immediately.”

Mrs Cazzulino said she is excited to stay on and drive the success of the North Queensland Winter Racing Carnival. “The success of the Townsville Turf Club has been a priority for me whilst in the role of CEO of the club and I wish the Committee and new CEO the greatest success in the future.  This year’s Carnival will be an outstanding social opportunity and I encourage everyone in the Townsville region to get behind it,” Cassandra said.

Mr Petrofski thanked Mrs Cazzulino for her commitment to the upcoming carnival and the TTC by staying on until the appointment of a new CEO.
